Graduation

Christian graduated on Wednesday, May 19th. I took a half day off of work. When I got home, Christian was still asleep. So I fixed waffles and we had breakfast/lunch together. Then it was time to get ready and off to graduation we went. When we got in the car, I remembered that we forgot Christian cap and gown! Luckily we remembered before we got to the stadium. All the way there Christian was worried that we would get there late and he wouldn't be able to graduate. But he did. Here are a lot of pictures from graduation:

Christian liked it that his cap matched the inside of his new suit.

Grandma wanted a picture of Christian throwing his hat in the air.

Trevor came to Christian's graduation. Besides being a close family friend, he is also one of Christian's church and Scout leaders. He started Christian in 11 year old Scouts and he now once again with him as a Venture Scout.

After graduation ceremony we went out to eat at Macaroni Grill. Christian got his present then - an iPod. He was surprised and liked that it had more storage than mine:)
Once we got back to Mom and Dad's, Mom wanted to take pictures - a lot of pictures!
This is my favorite one of Christian.

I like this one too!
After all the pictures, it was time to relax. We all changed and then watched a video I had made for Christian. It was his life from birth to now. He remembered quite a few of the pictures and talked about the memories. I loved it.
Then it was homemade ice cream and cookie time while we watched North Avenue Irregulars (Christian didn't think he'd like it, but he did and was laughing through the whole movie) and Avatar.

After Avatar, I went to bed as it was 12:30 am (Dad had gone to bed after North Avenue Irregulars). I think Mom went to bed too. Christian stayed up and watched other movies and just played and enjoyed his freeedom from high school. He told me the next morning that he finally went to bed when I got up at 6:30. What a night!

I really like that first picture of him in his cap and gown in moms library! I wish I could have been there and totally would have if my kids were out of school. Congrats Christian!
